2012 Iris Gardens Plein Air Short Trip Mark your calendars and make plans early to join Susie in 2012! The best time for the iris bloom is usually between Mother's Day and Memorial Day. The exact dates will be announced in the early spring when we have a better idea what Mother Nature will do in 2012. | Each spring and early summer I travel to some of the most beautiful gardens to teach how to paint watercolor irises on location en plein air. Some of my favorite spots to paint irises are at Schreiner's Iris Garden and Cooley's Iris Gardens near Salem, Oregon. Along with daily demonstrations each student receives individual instruction and learns how to paint irises and other garden flowers outside (en plein aire) in watercolor. |
